Concrete coating

Concrete coatings for industry

We use reliable domestic Tikkurila and Teknos products for floor coating. For the most demanding concrete applications in industry, we also offer our own imported, reliable Chesterton concrete coatings. Other major brands include Sika and Basf.

We carry out floor coatings as a turnkey service. We choose the right epoxy or PU coating for the job and install the system with primers to make the surface resistant to chemicals, mechanical abrasion and washing. The goal is long life, secure adhesion and quick installation with a correctly sized product.

Floor coating makes concrete floors durable and easy to clean. Depending on the stresses, we choose either a tough, chemical-resistant epoxy coating or a more flexible, impact-resistant PU coating – especially for applications such as parking garages, logistics centres and warehouses where the floor coating is exposed to temperature fluctuations and vibrations.

Pre-treating the concrete surface - the basis for a successful floor coating

We offer the most suitable product for the concrete coating project and carry out the work from the groundwork to the final cleaning. With our powerful diamond grinding and milling machines, floor preparation is fast and high-quality.

Concrete floor blasting and grinding are effective methods for preparing and restoring concrete surfaces to improve durability, appearance and safety. These processes are essential in a wide range of applications, such as industrial floors, warehouses, parking garages and public spaces, where floors need to withstand high mechanical stress and provide good traction.

We also repair and renovate old concrete floors, such as repairing cracks, smoothing surfaces and replacing coatings. A repaired and carefully pre-treated floor ensures the durability and longevity of the new coating.

Shot blasting

Zinc blasting is a process in which small steel or metal particles are shot at high velocity onto a concrete surface to remove cement paste, contaminants, paints, coatings or other substances. This method is particularly useful for smoothing rough and uneven surfaces, removing old coatings and opening up the pore structure of concrete, thus improving the adhesion of new concrete coatings. Zinc blasting can also reveal structural defects in concrete, such as cracks and bubbles, which can be repaired before concrete coating or painting to ensure a longer service life and a better finish.

Diamond cutting

Grinding concrete floors is a process carried out with special tools and equipment, such as diamond grinding wheels, to achieve a smooth and even surface. Grinding removes small imperfections, smooths out joints and prepares the surface for the application of concrete coatings such as epoxies or urethanes. It can also remove caked-on dirt, oil and other substances that can weaken the adhesion of a concrete coating.

What are floor coating and concrete coating and how are they done?

Floor coating refers to the application of an epoxy or PU coating to industrial concrete surfaces to improve durability, chemical resistance and cleanability.
Concrete coating process: pre-treatment (shot blasting/blast cleaning) → primer and necessary patching → top coat. Typical commissioning 12-24 h, full chemical durability 3-7 days.

Which concrete coating to choose, epoxy or PU?
Epoxy coating is tough, chemical and mechanical resistant – an excellent floor coating for chemically demanding environments.
PU coating: flexible, resistant to temperature fluctuations and shocks – suitable for e.g. logistics and parking garages.

Why is it important to pre-treat concrete coatings?
Pre-treatment ensures adhesion, prevents delamination and extends service life (shot blasting creates an adhesion profile, diamond grinding smoothes and cleans).

How long will the concrete floor coating last in use?
A properly pre-treated and sized floor coating system will typically last 5-10 years in industrial applications. In lighter applications, the service life can be even longer.

Zinc blasting removes old coatings and creates a bonding profile for epoxy and urethane coatings.
